Monida Oats are a spring-planted forage oat that out-yields Jerry Oats, making them a strong choice for hay operations. This medium-height, high-yielding variety has plump, short, white kernels and grows fast. Beyond forage, Monida works well for erosion control and temporary land protection, crowding out weeds while building soil quality. As an annual, it dies back in early summer, so mowing it down or working it in clears the way for next season's crop.
