Arizona Cottontop is often found in the Southwest from Colorado to Texas and Arizona to Mexico. Livestock find it highly palatable and it is often used in land reclamation mixtures. Arizona Cottontop is a warm-season, perennial and very rarely found in pure stands, however it makes a beautiful addition to any Native landscape because of it white, cotton-like seed head.
