Kentucky bluegrass does well in soils from sandy loam to heavy clay. Seeding rates of 2 to 3 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. or 125 pounds per acre will help establish a deep healthy turf. Complete germination takes place in about 3 weeks and is ready for traffic and lawn care after 6 weeks.
