Blanket Flower
Description
Blanket Flower is an impressive and beautiful Native flower that grows 12 to 30 inches tall and thrives in heat. It blooms from mid-summer until frost and is an astounding cut flower, with dense brilliant red flowers with yellow rims.
It is a drought-tolerant perennial found throughout much of the United States. Blanket Flower is easily established from seed and thrives in full sun in well-drained areas. Occasional watering will extend the blooming period. Allow Blanket Flower seed heads to completely dry prior to trimming; this will aid in re-seeding for the following year.
